1. Leadership style can have five levels: highly capable individual, contributing team member, competent manager, effective leader, and executive. The highly capable individual makes productive contributions through talent, knowledge, skills, and good work habits. The contributing team member contributes individual capabilities to the achievement of group objectives, and works effectively with others in a group setting. Competent manger organizes people and resources toward the effective, and efficient pursuit of predetermined objectives. The effective leader catalyzes commitment and vigorous pursuit of a clear and compelling vision, stimulating higher performance standards. The executive builds enduring greatness through a paradoxicalâ⬠¦show more contentâ⬠¦Combining these the management and leadership qualities would create an effective virtual environment. Leadership can never replace management; it should be apart of management. A leader with initiating-structure style wou ld most likely have more success because there would be a method to successfully combing the leadership qualities with the management qualities. 11. I tend to see myself as having more leadership qualities than management. The personal characteristics of a leader have physical characteristics: of energy, and physical stamina. For intelligence and ability a leader has intelligence, cognitive ability, knowledge, judgment, and decisiveness. For personality a leader has self-confidence, honest, integrity, enthusiasm, desire to lead, and independence. For social characteristics a leader has sociability, interpersonal skills, cooperativeness, ability to enlist cooperation, tact, and diplomacy. For social background a leader has education and mobility. For work-related characteristics a leader has achievement drive, desire to excel, conscientiousness in pursuit of goals, persistence against all obstacles, and tenacity.
